BloodClan, after a hundred years of dwelling in their dark city, have decided to uproot and leave. Prey and food have become scarce for them, for the once bustling city has become a rundown suburb, where little human activity occurs. They set out, in the east, traveling by night and sleeping where they can, and eating whatever they find. They are searching for a new metropolis to claim their home in, intending to drive out whatever cats were already there.

Instead, they run across a whole league of cats, that seem to be living in equal, but divided territories. Plague, the BloodClan leader, orders scouts to go out and investigate, and the BloodClan cats soon discover they have run across the other Clan Cats, the very ones that BloodClan had fought and lost to under Scourge’s rule, many generations before. Plague is at first only slightly interested to find these felines, but as BloodClan continues to camp on the outskirts of the territory, he consults with his deputy, Aurora, and realizes that this may be the perfect place to make their new home. And, as always, there’s nothing wrong with extracting revenge for an offense committed long ago.

Meanwhile, StarClan send the clan leaders and medicine cats a prophecy, to warn them of them coming danger. The prophecy states;


“In the darkness of the night,
A force will run in silent flight.
They are thirsty, they are broken,
Their name has not since long been spoken.
Four in the twilight will meet them head on,
And see to their departure by the breaking dawn
But stand fast; the enemy never sleeps,
But to the shadows will they keep.
And not long after the battle was won,
Will they return, and double their one.
Such terrible beasts will bring you dark dread,
And by a horrifying murderer are they led.
Chaos in all ends will come in the final hour,
But remember to believe with all of your power.

Kindred Spirits, you must come jointly and trust each other.
For under the stars we are all sisters and brothers.
But you must always remember you are your own,
And the ending battle must be yours alone.”
